What is the Visit Summary & Care Plan feature?

The Visit Summary & Care Plan is an optional feature designed to help organize information discussed during a telehealth visit.

With appropriate consent, a visit may be recorded and transcribed to generate a written summary, a checklist of recommended next steps, and a progress view to support follow-up care.

This feature is intended to support understanding, recall, and follow-through after a visit. It is not intended to replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Is recording a telehealth visit required?

No. Recording and summarization are entirely optional.

A visit is recorded only with explicit consent from both the patient and the clinician. If either party does not consent, the visit proceeds normally without recording or AI-generated summaries.

What information is included in the visit summary?

The summary may include:

  • A plain-language overview of topics discussed during the visit
  • Actions recommended by the clinician (such as medications, laboratory tests, referrals, or follow-up appointments)
  • General guidance discussed during the visit
  • A progress view showing which recommended steps have been completed or remain pending

The summary is based on the content of the visit and is provided for informational purposes.

Does the AI diagnose conditions or make medical decisions?

No.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is used only to organize and summarize information from the visit and present it in a structured format. AI does not diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, determine treatment plans, or replace clinical judgment.

All medical decisions are made by licensed healthcare professionals.

Can clinicians review or edit the summary?

Yes.

Clinicians may review, edit, or confirm visit summaries to ensure accuracy. Clinicians remain responsible for the care provided and for the content of medical guidance given to patients.

How does the system use AI safely?

AI is used in a limited, supportive role to:

  • Summarize and organize visit information
  • Generate checklists based on what was discussed
  • Highlight potential inconsistencies based on user-provided information, for discussion with a clinician

AI outputs are informational and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Patients are encouraged to contact your clinician if anything in the summary is unclear or appears incorrect.

Does the system check for medication or supplement interactions?

Where available, the system may surface potential considerations based on:

  • user-provided medical history
  • prescription information
  • supplement use
  • laboratory results, if available

These insights are intended to support conversations between patients and clinicians and do not replace professional medical review or judgment.

How is my privacy protected?

Visit recordings, transcripts, and summaries are treated as Protected Health Information (PHI).

Data is handled using administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, along with appropriate contractual protections. Access to recordings and summaries is limited to authorized users and members of the care team.

Can I delete a recording or summary?

Patients may request deletion of recordings or summaries in accordance with applicable laws, retention requirements, and platform policies. Details are available in the Privacy Policy.

Is this feature compliant with healthcare regulations?

The platform is designed to support telehealth services in alignment with applicable healthcare privacy and security requirements.

Recording and summarization features are implemented with appropriate consent, access controls, and safeguards for handling Protected Health Information.

Does this feature guarantee better health outcomes?

No.

The Visit Summary & Care Plan feature is designed to support understanding, organization, and follow-through. It does not guarantee medical outcomes, treatment success, or adherence.

Does using this feature change my relationship with my clinician?

No.

This feature does not replace clinical care, clinical judgment, or direct communication with your healthcare provider. Patients should continue to ask questions and seek clarification from your clinician whenever needed.

Who should I contact if I have questions or concerns?

For questions about your care, please contact your clinician directly. For questions about how the feature works or how data is handled, please contact platform support or review the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
